Below are heartfelt reflections shared by Judy’s loved ones on her personal profile, along with touching messages from members of the Naphill Gazette Facebook community.
Karen Lawe - "Sending condolences to you Jacob, also to other family members and close friends of Judy's. Your mum is a woman I wish I had known more and for much longer. Myself and Andy have good memories of times spent chatting whilst woodland wandering. Our chats started when she used to take Sophie and Tess just to a certain tree in the edge of the woodland more or less opposite your home for break times. From there to bumping into her more frequently when walking during her first retirement. For a few years we couldn't walk with her as one of our dogs wasn't keen on other dogs after being attacked twice on lead. We still waved and shouted hello's. Our dog became used to Flora and Tess eventually and we could accompany at a short distance away. When that dog passed, we found ourselves more often walking with Judy, and Amanda with Guinness frequently too. Judy was an interesting person and knew so many other dog walkers. Even if she didn't know them she would still speak with them. As sad as it is that Judy has passed and is a loss to many folk, I am glad her passing was peaceful. From conversations had with her earlier in 2024, it seems things went as Judy expected."
Nicola Hinves - "She will be hugely missed by Jason and me and our dogs, particularly Toffee who adored both her and her treat pouch. We will continue on her quest to find the illusive goshawk and think of her often on our daily walks around the woods. RIP to the most lovely neighbour and friend we could wish for. Our thoughts are with you Jacob and the rest of your family."
Eleanor Ferguson - "She was the nicest person you could meet, and she brightened everyone's lives. so very sad to lose her, she was stoic and cheerful under all the health issues she had, who can I test my cooking on now!"

Wise WilsonLynds - "We were all so sorry to hear this news Jakey, she was the loveliest person and loved you very much from the moment you were born. She was so well organised she used to make all your food in batches, freeze it and it would be sent with you everyday in little Tupperware boxes. She loved hearing about Gemma and our ponies, how we would take you along to muck out and sit you on Bramble. I remember her excitement at a forthcoming Springsteen concert, she could barely contain herself. Always remembered with such affection, so I’m writing this on behalf of us all as we were then, the Hall family, Roger, Lyndsay, Gemma, Alex and Tom. Xx"
